Wavy Surf Camp – Terms and Conditions of Booking and Use

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the website www.wavysurfcamp.com, as well as the booking of surf camp holidays, surf lessons and accommodation in Sagres, Portugal, operated by:

By accessing the website or booking any service, the guest expressly agrees to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- Booking Process and Payments
To confirm a reservation at Wavy Surf Camp Portugal, guests must pay 50% of the total booking amount through our secure online payment platform operated by Stripe, after submitting the online booking form.
All payments are processed using encrypted and secure technology in accordance with applicable security standards.
Wavy Experience LDA does not store, process or have access to guests’ full payment card details. Payment transactions are handled directly by Stripe, acting as an independent payment service provider in accordance with its own privacy and security policies.
A reservation shall be considered valid and confirmed once the required payment has been successfully processed and received by Wavy Experience LDA.
- Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be submitted in writing and are effective from the date of receipt.
All cancellations must be notified in writing and shall be effective from the date of receipt by Wavy Experience LDA.
- More than 30 days before arrival: refund of 100% of the amount paid, minus a non-refundable 3% administrative and banking fee, which covers payment processing costs, platform fees and bank commissions.
- Between 30 and 14 days before arrival: refund of 50% of the amount paid. The 3% administrative and banking fee shall in all cases remain non-refundable.
- Less than 14 days before arrival: no refund shall be granted, including administrative, banking or payment processing fees.
The 3% administrative and banking fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, as it corresponds to costs incurred by Wavy Experience LDA for payment processing, reservation management and financial services, including fees charged by third-party payment providers such as Stripe.
Guests are strongly advised to take out travel and cancellation insurance.
- Changes, Availability and Force Majeure
Wavy Experience LDA reserves the right to modify, reschedule or cancel any service when required due to force majeure, adverse weather conditions, safety concerns, governmental restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
In such cases, no refunds shall be granted, as these events are outside the control of Wavy Experience LDA. However, whenever reasonably possible, guests may be offered the option to reschedule their booking to another date within the same season or to transfer their reservation to the following season, subject to availability.
Between 30 and 14 days before arrival: During this period, guests can modify their booking, subject to availability, or choose to postpone their reservation to another date within the same season or keep their place for the following season. Any administrative surcharge of €20 and any price difference must be settled accordingly.
- Health, Fitness and Safety Requirements
Guests must:
- Be able to swim
- Be in adequate physical condition
- Inform Wavy Experience LDA of any medical condition, allergy, disability or limitation
By booking a surf camp or surf lesson in Portugal, the guest confirms medical fitness for participation.
- Equipment Responsibility and Security Deposits
Guests are responsible for all surf equipment, wetsuits, boards and facilities during use.
Any loss or serious damage caused by misuse must be paid by the guest. The replaced equipment becomes the guest’s property.
A €25 cash deposit per person is required upon arrival to guarantee proper use of tents. This deposit will be refunded at check-out if the tent is returned clean and undamaged.
- Transfers and Optional Services
- Subject to availability
- Paid in cash in advance
- Price is per journey and may be shared among passengers
Excursions and additional activities are not included in the surf camp price and depend on minimum participation and availability.
- Minors
Minors must comply with staff instructions and EU safety regulations. Misconduct may result in expulsion without refund.
Parents or legal guardians must sign all required authorization documents.
Wavy Experience LDA is responsible only for surf and bodyboard lessons, not for general supervision outside lesson times.
- Liability and Responsibility Disclaimer
Wavy Experience LDA shall not be held liable for:
- Guest negligence or failure to follow instructions
- Third-party service failures
- Force majeure events (weather, natural disasters, pandemics, etc.)
- Incidents occurring outside the camp, outside lesson hours, or without staff supervision
Use of skate ramps, surfskate, slackline, indoboard and similar facilities is entirely at the guest’s own risk.
- Insurance
Guests must hold:
- Valid medical insurance, or
- Travel insurance covering surf activities
Hospital transfers are not included and must be paid by the guest.
Wavy Experience LDA is not responsible for illnesses caused by food allergies or personal conditions.
Flight cancellations and travel-related expenses are the sole responsibility of the guest.
- Image Rights
Photos and videos taken during the surf camp experience in Portugal may be used for promotional and marketing purposes unless the guest expressly objects in writing.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Portugal.
Payment of services implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
