4 Surfer recipes you can cook during quarantine
Hi guys! How is quarantine going in your country? We are sure you are spending a lot of time at home lately and in that situation it is very easy to fall into eating unhealthy food. But HEY WE ARE SURFERS! And surfers need to maintain a healthy body even during this period. This way, once this is all over our bodies will be prepared to get back into surf easily.
For all the above we want to give you this 4 Recipes Especially Designed for Surfers. Best of all is that they are yummy and healthy! Make sure you tag us on social media if you prepare them. We want to see your results!
1. Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients for 2 people:
- 1/2 cup non dairy milk (soy, almond oat…)
- 2 frozen bananas
- 3 table spoons peanut butter
- 2 table spoons cocoa powder
- 1 table spoon oat flakes
Mix it all together in a blender.
Topping:
Be creative with the toppings. Some options are:
- Chia Seeds
- Banana slices
- Kiwi slices
- Strawberry
- Blueberries
- Muesli

This recipe is super nice for breakfast. You can change any ingredients you want and make it different every day.

2. Carrot cake bliss balls (vegan)
Ingredients for 10 balls:
- 70 g pecans
- 60 g walnuts
- 50 g desiccated coconut, plus extra for coating
- 75 g pitted dates
- 80 g carrot, cut into pieces
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
Mix all the ingredients in a blender. Make 10 balls using your hands and coat the balls with some extra desiccated coconut.
This healthy and delicious snack is perfect for those afternoon cravings!
3. Home made Pizza
Base:
- 100 g water
- 25 g olive oil
- 10 g yeast
- 185 g whole wheat flower
- ½ tsp salt
Topping:
- 6 table spoon tomato sauce
- 1 tsp oregano
- 50 g rocket
- 8 – 10 black olives
- 100 g cherry tomatoes cut in half
- 150 g mozzarella cut in slices
- basil leaves
Mix all the base ingredients and make a ball using your hands. Let it rest covered for 20 min. Preheat oven at 250º and spread some oil into an oven tray. With your hands extend the base over the oven tray and give it the shape your prefer. Extend well so you get a thin base. Spread the tomato sauce. Cook in the oven for 10 min at 220º.
Once the base is ready add the topping ingredients. Pour a bit of olive oil on top.
VOILA! Its done, its healthy and its ready to eat! Enjoy your meal!
4. Detox Salad
Base:
- 200 g carrot, cut into pieces
- 200 g chopped yellow bell pepper
- 200 g broccoli sprigs
- 4 sprigs of fresh parsley
- 150 g papaya pieces
- 30 g of peeled pumpkin seeds
Dressing:
- 25 g of extra virgin olive oil
- 20 g of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 1 ½ teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 pinches of ground black pepper
Chop all the base ingredientes and mix them all together in a salad bowl. In a small bowl mix and stir all the dressing ingredients. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix it up. Super easy!
