Best yummy smoothies for surfers
So it´s getting pretty hot already and one of the best ways to refresh yourself while staying healthy is to drink a delicious smoothie.
Here you will find the best smoothie recipes especially created for surfers. Read about the benefits of each of them for every special surfer´s situation.
GREEN SMOOTHIE:
This smoothie is a booster for your immune system. This will definitely help you to avoid getting sick because of spending long hours in the water. It is also very good for your skin and will help with extra hydration for those days under the sun.
Recipe:
- 2organic cucumbers
- 3–5ribs organic celery
- 1large broccoli stem (cut off all florets and reserve them for another recipe)
- 2–3leaves green kale
- 1/2organic apple or pear
- Optional: 1 to 2-inch knob of fresh ginger, peeled
- 1/2organic lemon, peeled before juicing, or not juiced and squeezed into the juice at the end
Wash all the products and juice them! Easy peasy.
ORANGE-BANANA SMOOTHIE:
Best juice before a surf sesh! Get the perfect nutrition with all the benefits of bananas and Vitamine C of the Organge. Add it avocado for an extra healthy fat you will need during your surf.
Recipe:
- Bananas
- An orange (juice + zest)
- Avocado
- Yogurt (or milk)
Mix all together in a blender and get it in your belly straight away!
RED SMOOTHIE:
This is an Anti-Inflammatory smoothie. Perfect for tired muscles after surf!
Recipe:
- 1 medium beet peeled & cubed
- 2 cups strawberries fresh or frozen
- 1/4 cup coconut oil extra virgin
- 1 cup apple slices
- 1/2 cups any milk
Mix, shake, drink and enjoy!
